Challenge: “Life in Sweden and the Nordic countries is continually redesigned and changed in the encounters between people and in coexistence with nature and the climate.Find a logical solution for the visitor to connect all impressions within the exhibition.”
We decided to create not only the exhibition's last room (projection room) but to add an AR experience, with the option to take the art you make with you, having an eternal memory of your visit to the exhibition.

For this project, we were briefed on how the exhibit moved from the 16th to the 21st century, and the museum wanted us to make a futuristic screening room.
In this room, the desire was to have space for interaction and reflection.
The idea was for the visitor to impact the exhibition and leave a mark in this room, in addition to gaining time for reflection, symbolizing the future of Nordic culture.
The present:
The present is something that is being made as we speak. Therefore it's not something that can be exhibited. It has to be created. Therefore we went with interaction-based stuff that makes you reflect on the exhibition we have gone through.
The AR nature experience:
The idea here is to be able to take a foto with your family of the nature of the nordic countries, also urging you to mail thatfotograph to a Timecapsule that will send the foto back to you 20 years later about how you think we will live together with nature.
2 intentions :
1: A fun thing to play around with and a cool way of presenting nature.
2: Inviting people to actively reflect on what they think nature's role in our society is.
The Mirror of Thoughts (Magic mirror):
Here we invite the person in the exhibition to not only make a mental reflection but reflect themselves in the mirror.
We urge them to think back on the people, ideals and things that the history that the exhibition has been interesting and they want to bring with them to the future,
How it works:
Next to the mirror is a touchscreen that you can press on the portrait of the people, icons representing the different eras and some of the more notable objects in the exhibition.
Once these are chosen, you get a Mixed AI artwork that reflects you with these other expressions in the mirror. You get a code referencing this picture that you should save.
The future:
The future is something you affect in the present. Here we want the future to be a space to reflect on what has happened in the past, a chance to sit in a room with calm visuals and reflect.
What's the point of the room:
Reflection
Reconnecting to nature (the only constant of this planet)
The representations of the leaves blowing in the wind. Either it's seen as the death of something or related to the rebirth of something.
Outside the exhibition:
Either directly outside or down in the gift shop, we set up a Photoprinter that can print out that fotograf of you with the impressions from the exhibition. Here you can choose to pay to get it printed out as a postcard or maybe even as a small poster. Giving you a memory of the exhibition.
